Ang One Piece ay isang Japanese Shonen Manga at Anime series na nilikha ng Japanese Artist na si Eichiro Oda na naging seryal na sa Weekly Shonen Jump mula pa noong Agosto 4,1997. Ang bawat kabanata ay inilalathala sa takobon volumes ni Shueisha, sa una nitong release noong Disyembre 24,1997, at ang ika-60 bolyum ay noong Nobyembre 2010. Pagdaan ng 2010, inanunsyo ng Shueisha na naipagbili na nila ang mahigit sa 200 milyong bolyum ngOne Piece sa ngayon; ang ika-60 na volume ay nakapagtala ng bagong record para sa pinakamataas na initial print run sa lahat ng aklat sa Japan sa kasaysayan na may 3.4 milyong kopya. Ito rin ang unang aklat na naibenta ng mahigit 2 milyong kopya sa Opening Week ngOricon Book Ranking ng Japan.

Ang One Piece ay hango sa paglalakbay ni Monkey D. Luffy, ang 17 taong gulang na nakakain ng sinumpaang prutas na tinatawag na Gomu Gomu no Mi (Sa Pilipinas: Sinumpaang Prutas ng Goma Goma) na naging daan upang ang katawan niya ay humaba at ma-deform na parang Goma, at ang kanyang itinatag na Pirata, Ang Straw Hat Crew. Nilakbay ni Luffy ang karagatan upang mahanap ang pinakatago-tagong at ang pinakamalaking kayamanan na tinawag na One Piece at upang hirangin siya bilang ang susunod na Hari ng mga Pirata.

Sinimulan ang pagpapalabas ng One Piece sa Pilipinas noong 2003 ng GMA Network 7. Nakailan na rin itong pag-uulit ng mga episodes dahil sa pagbaba ng ratings nito sa kalabang Network na ABS-CBN. Ang kasalukuyang episode nito sa Pilipinas ay sa pakikipagsapalaran saEnies Lobby at sa CP9. At sa kabila ng maraming udlot sa telebisyon, unti-unting tumataas ang ratings ito sa 17% kumpara sa kabilang istasyon na 12-15%.

 the ParOkya Ni EdGar band..


 is a Filipino band that was formed in 1993 by a group of college students. The band is famous and most lauded for its original rocknovelty songs and often satirical covers of popular songs. The band has since transcendedmusical genres, varying styles from one song to another - alternative rock to pop rock, funk torapcore, and so on - while providing comic relief to their listeners. Despite having "Edgar" in the band's name, none of the members go by it.

Before Parokya ni Edgar

Naming themselves Comic Relief, the band originally consisted of three vocalists – Chito Miranda, Jeric Estaco, Vinci Montaner, and two guitarists, Miko Yap and Gab Chee Kee. They constantly played through after-school jam session, before performing an opening number for anEraserheads concert. This break prompted the band to add a drummer and a bassist – Dindin Moreno and Buwi Meneses respectively. The same performance also marked the change of the band's name to Parokya ni Edgar.^[2] After high school, Miko and Jeric left the band to pursue other interests. As a replacement, the remaining band members invited to their fold, guitaristDarius Semaña (lead guitar).

The name Parokya Ni Edgar came from a joke answer Jeric Estaco gave during Philippine History class, when the teacher asked him where Jose Rizal's fictional hero, Crisostomo Ibarra (in the novel Noli Me Tangere), was educated.

The band soon started playing at the legendary local band hub, Club Dredd, coming out during the height of the Pinoy rock explosion, with the Filipino rock community giving in to the influence of especially grunge acts such as Nirvana,Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.

Eventually, the late managing director of Universal Records, Bella Dy Tan, signed them as contract artists after witnessing one of their performances at Club Dredd. Soon their initial recordings such as Buloy, Trip and Lutong Bahay were heard across nation. Their first album,Khangkhungkherrnitz became a triple platinum hit in the Philippines having sold 120,000 units. The other 3 albums includeBuruguduystunstugudunstuy (triple platinum), Jingle Balls Silent Night Holy Cow (gold), and Gulong Itlog Gulong (triple platinum).^[3]

They recently released their 8th studio album, Middle-Aged Juvenile Novelty Pop Rockers in 2010 with the carrier single "Paki-usap Lang (Lasingin Nyo Ako)". It is PNE's 11th album in total.

In 2011, Parokya joins the roster of Tanduay's First Five replacing long running Tanduay endorser 6cyclemind who has recently left the group with Bamboo, who is now replaced by Wolfgang. Parokya and Wolfgang are now part of the concert event together with the remaining original Tanduay members, Sandwich, Chicosci and Kamikazee.
